- salty or metallic taste, or decreased ability to taste
- cough
- sore throat
- fever
- mouth sores
- unusual bruising
- fast heartbeat
- excessive tiredness
If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately: - chest pain
- swelling of the face, eyes, lips, tongue, arms, or legs
- difficulty breathing or swallowing
- fainting
- rash
What storage conditions are needed for Capoten? Keep Captopril in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
